Pull it Together Rockets!

The Houston-based basketball team should be renamed as the Houston Rollercoasters. The team has sent their fans on an emotional rollercoaster throughout the season. They had a rather sloppy start of the season despite wild pre-season speculation of reaching a MM dynasty. I still remember they lost twice to Charlotte Bobcats within 4 days. Then there was a pretty good run before the all-star game. It got bad again after that. Finally, with a 7-game winning streak, they advanced into the playoffs. At that time, as the fans thought they have gotten it all, they were in for a hell lot more ups and downs. The disneyland-level ride in the playoffs (as till this very moment) has made the regular season look like a mini-train ride in the children's park in suburban Hangzhou.

The two victories away from home are by far the sweetest performances, highlighted with T-mac's fearless drives into the paint and a powerful dunk over Shawn Bradley. I was actually kindda optimisitc about a 4-0 sweep when they returned home for game 3. But their magic and luck seemed to have drained away in Toyota Center. Much fewer treys by Jon Barry and Mike James off the bench, and turnover ratio went up by 30%. Well, the Mavericks did a good job, and they claimed back their homecourt advantage even before letting the fans catch a breath. Now Rockets are trailing behind 3-2. and you know what is the worst of all? All five games happened during my exams.

Tomorrow the Rockets will be playing again at home. Pull it together!
